Harvest Moon Dinner & Auction

September 29, 2018 04:30 pm -

Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT) is pleased to host another delicious helping of local flavours at the Ninth Annual Harvest Moon Potluck Supper on Saturday, September 29th at Covenant United Church located at 230 Eighth Ave!

Doors open at 4:30 and dinner begins at 5:30!

Tickets are a suggested donation of $5 each and are available at the ACT office (97 Pine St. S.) or online at: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/harvest-moon-potluck-and-silent-auction-tickets-49652190037

The evening celebrates a great summer and growing season, and is an opportunity for gardeners, local food lovers and community members to meet and connect over a shared table of fabulous local seasonal food. As in previous years, the evening will also feature a Homegrown Silent Auction with proceeds to support the food security work of Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT).

In order for this event to reach its goal of raising $5000 to support the ongoing efforts of ACT, we are looking to our local community to give what they can in the form of an auction item, or financial donation. As this event is centered around all things local and homegrown, we have compiled a sample list of items that, in past events, have helped us reach our fundraising goals:

  • Handmade products or crafts

  • Local produce

  • Artwork

  • Fresh preserves or baked goods

  • Gift certificate for product/service

  • Framed photography print

Every generously donated contribution, no matter the size or value, helps us work toward creating greater access to local, healthy, and affordable food for all residents in our community. If you make, bake, or grow an item and would like to give to a great cause, please contact us to coordinate a time to receive your generous donation.

If you have an item to donate, please email team@antihungercoalition.com or message us at Facebook/AntiHungerCoalition
